Convergence

HEARding cats collective is pleased to announce Convergence, a presentation of instrumental improvisation and electronic processing.

Convergence will feature three world class musicians: Anne La Berge (Amsterdam) on fute/Kyma sound computer, Tom Hamilton (NYC) on electronics, and Rich O'Donnell (STL) on abstract percussion/Kyma sound computer. The event will focus on the reconciliation between acoustic instruments and electronic sounds.

Using the powerful processing environment of the Kyma sound computer, Laberge and O'Donnell will work to create a sonic balance between their instruments and Hamilton's purely electronic contributions. Using their ears and experience, they will no doubt channel the sense of wonder and discovery that can only be achieved through live improvisation.
